Bio
Marco Abdul Kareem Caribotti, known to everyone as Karibo, was born on 22 August 1969. He raced motocross and enduro with the Kawasaki Italy/Racing, Praga Moto, Husaberg Factory and Sherco teams. As a test rider he worked for Dunlop, Praga, Husaberg, Sherco, SACHS and Goldentyre.
In 2005 he founded Team Flite. From late 2008 he worked with Graham Jarvis as his team manager, and in 2010 he created the Flite Extreme Husaberg Racing Team together with Husaberg. At the end of 2012 he brought Jarvis into the official Husaberg team and went full time at Goldentyre as Race Manager and head of R&D, while carrying on as a tester. Team Flite closed at the end of 2014 with his overall win at the Krka Rally. In 2015 he became the owner of Goldentyre, the off-road tyre brand from Massa, where today he is also Chairman of the Board: from there another story began.

After racing
Goldentyre
After the Flite era in Extreme Enduro came to an end, Marco Caribotti became the owner of Goldentyre, the off-road tyre brand based in Massa: in 2013 and 2014 he was its Race Manager and head of R&D, and from 2015 its owner (a 2017 interview with Pneusnews dates the acquisition to December 2014); today he is also its Chairman of the Board. Goldentyre had already backed Team Flite during the Jarvis years. In 2017 the FTS, Flite Tubeless System was launched, and it still carries the Flite name.
Goldentyre is a separate company from Team Flite.
